The Rotary Cambridge Charity Dinner and Auction was held on Friday 15 June at the Sir Don Rowlands Centre.  Guests enjoyed a great night of food and wine, a great speaker and lively auction.

Sam Johnson, the guest speaker, was
a very engaging young man and mixed with the guests chatting about his experiences during the 2011 Christchurch Earthquake and his involvement in WeVisit.  This latest venture takes the Student Volunteer Army to the next level by connecting younger and older people to share value – hoping to change everything we currently understand about ‘care’ and ‘helping’.  His vision and message aligned very well with Rotary’s aims and objectives.

Kevin Deane led a lively auction of donated goods and reminded those present to “have fun” while making their pockets a little lighter for a good cause – Riding for the Disabled Cambridge

Thank you to all who bought tickets, gave donations and contributed as a sponsor – this is so much appreciated.  A big thanks to the project team and others who all gave generously of their time and effort to make the evening the success it was.
