    Rotary Cambridge Urban Miners is an e-waste re-use, repair, and recycling service for the Waipa District. We are passionate about collecting e waste and diverting it from disposal in landfills. E-waste is any piece of equipment or appliance that operates on electricity or batteries and is no longer used. Rotary Cambridge Urban Miners is a not-for-profit, community-run project staffed by volunteers from Rotary Cambridge and the local Waipa community. We also work in partnership with other community groups including Te Awamutu Rotary and the Lions Club of Cambridge. Urban Miners enjoy excellent support from Waipa District Council via their Community Waste Minimisation Fund and the Cambridge Community Board.
     
    Collection Events are held each month unless it is a holiday weekend. Dates are:
    Cambridge –3rd Sunday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Cambridge High School, Swayne Road, Cambridge.
    Te Awamutu – 1st Sunday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the carpark of Te Awamutu Sports and Recreation Club, 420 Albert Park Drive, Te Awamutu.
    The list PRESS HERE sets out fees charged for the typical E-Waste items that we collect. The project is run by Rotary volunteers as a service to our community, and is a non-profit, non-fund-raising activity.
