Each year, Rotary Cambridge organises and supports an interschool speech contest for students aged 8-12 years. The event hosts contestants from 10 or more local schools, who are judged on a 3-5 minute speech on a topic of their choice. All the Cambridge district schools support the annual event, as they see the value in giving students exposure to public speaking, and a chance to develop the associated skills and confidence.Rotary Cambridge is proud to have been involved with this worthwhile event for a number of years, and to help contribute to the learning experiences of our district’s young people.
