Two Rotarians were recently honoured for "exemplifying the humanitarian and educational objectives of the Rotary Foundation" were presented with Paul Harris Fellow Awards. Ian Rogers and Bev Heron were surprised but delighted when President Robyn Crickett made the presentation. 
 
Ian has been a member of the club for 33 years. He was a member of Lions for 25 years prior to that. Robyn Crickett said "Ian is a great sounding board, having spent many years as a leader and advisor in the Education sector. He has also been heavily involved with Waikato Bowls."
 
"Bev is never shy to step forward assisting
 with projects and has been a president of the club and is currently the treasurer. She joined the club 19 yeas ago and is a great asset to the club's administration and finances.
 
The Paul Harris Fellow Award was established in 1957 to recognise Rotarian and community members' contribution to rotary/ and or the community. Paul Harris with three other business associates stared Rotary in 1905.
