Presidents Notes 27th November 2021
Fantastic turn out at the Good Union for our very first friendly forum meeting and thanks to the 30 or so that attended. It was great to catch up at long last and share experiences over the last few months whilst we navigated Level 3.
I have attached some photos of the event and have never seen everyone as happy for quite some time, and looking forward to our next catch up already.
Congratulations go out to Roger Gordon and his PR team for a wonderful 8 page lift out of Cambridge Rotary 75th in the Cambridge News this week. What an impressive legacy of 75 years supporting the community, at the same time providing fellowship, service, and fun for our members. Much has changed in the world over the last 75 years, Rotary Cambridge has remained steadfast in its pursuit of community service and fellowship.
I am honoured to lead a club that is so full of energy and enthusiasm for such a wide range of activities offering something for everybody.
Talking of activities and something for everybody- John Bishop is chasing numbers for our end of year Christmas Party, with final numbers needed for catering by the end of next week. I have attached John’s communication below for those still to confirm.
With Cambridge High School remaining inaccessible for now, next week’s meeting will be at Zoom. I will be joining you from Christchurch (Zoom does have its benefits) and look forward to seeing you all online.
