Presidents Notes19 members joined us on-line last Thursday, thanks to all who joined in for a quick catch up. Good to hear our Rail Trail Team arrived back safe and sound back into the North Island, we look forward to hearing how it all went in next week’s meeting. We had the unfortunate news from Ray Milner that the BookaRama had to be postponed, this as we could not run the event at Level Three; it’s likely we will reschedule this in the early part of 2022. I realise this a huge disappointment to Ray and the BookaRama team, but a huge thanks of behalf of the Club to all involved. We look forward to a new date soon. Our Super Saturday Vaccination drive is well underway; our target group of 13-18-year-olds are attending, with numbers remaining steady throughout the day. I would like to personally thank all those that helped in setting this up and volunteering their time at very short notice. Just a reminder next week, we are back to a formal Zoom meeting on Thursday 21st October, if all goes to plan, we should be back in Level Two by that point. The next meeting after that, on 28th October will be the first of our new Social Evenings in Level Two, this most likely held in the outdoor area of the Good Union in Cambridge (only for those who wish to meet and adhering to Level Two restrictions). Hopefully see you all next week on Zoom. |
