Matching Grants
Opportunities for matching grants available. Members are encouraged to see Doug Lang if they have ideas for a community project for which the club could apply. Every idea will be considered. The Rotary Foundation will match the money contributed by our club. The Club needs lots of ideas. Applications close 31 July.
Resignation – Julie Bryan
The Board received with sincere regret the resignation of Julie Bryan. In her letter of resignation, Julie says:
“I am grateful to have been a member for these past (I think) 6 years. Everyone has been great to know and I look forward to recognising the familiar faces in the street going forward. The group does so much for the community and it is very successful and I have really enjoyed my time belonging.”
New Members
The Board has approved two new members to join Rotary Cambridge – Jono Gibson and Silvio Ribeiro. They will be inducted as Rotarians at a meeting in July. We look forward to their involvement in various projects and getting to know them.
Movie Night
Interact club has arranged a movie to be screened on the 10th of July. The screening is at 8pm, however, there is a raffle and an auction earlier, so people are encouraged turn up for 7.30pm. Movie tickets are $20 and this includes a raffle ticket.
Proceeds for the night will be donated to Cambridge Lifeskills Trust.
A very worthy cause.
