Annual General Meeting
Our President opened the meeting; the minutes were taken as read.
The clubs and charitable accounts were presented by Treasurer, Bev Heron. These were accepted, subject to review by Herbert Morton – Chartered Accountants.
Endorsement of the Directors and Offices for the 2019/2020 year were approved
Candidates for the nomination committee were received. As there were a large number of nominees an email will be sent out to allow members to vote.
A vote of thanks was addressed to Bev Heron for her work as Treasurer.
The AGM closed at 6.30pm
Dr. Bronwen Byers was introduced as a new member transferring from the Paeroa Rotary Club
Bill Robertson advised members that they will be required Sunday 15th September between 8.30am and 11.00 am for harrier marshalling. Could you let Bill know if you are unavailable
Bob Teal will tell members who have volunteered for Daffodil Day the time and place to meet.
Visit to Ruakura on Thursday 29th August: Don Wilson requested that apologies and extras for this visit be notified by Monday 26th August. This will allow adequate catering to be arranged

Rotary Ride
Rotary District 3181 is conducting an International motorcycle ride/four wheel drive event called Ride for Rotary.
The first 3 editions of Ride for Rotary was a great success to which closely 50 participants from 12 different countries attended and had a wonderful experience.
This year they are planning to make it bigger and better by adding four wheel drive too. The aim is to promote International fellowship, exchange of Rotary views & the funds raised by this event will go to The Rotary Foundation.
Event will be from 16th to 28th January 2020.
The event highlights are:
A 12 days event commencing from Mangalore (India) that can either be a motorcycle ride or a four wheel drive.
The ride will cover 4 Rotary Districts, many Rotary Clubs along with temples, churches, Tiger Reserves, forests, Beaches and via some breath taking beautiful roads in the lap of nature.
The route map is Mangalore-Madikeri-Mysore-Wayanad-Ooty-Coimbatore-Munnar-Thekady-Allepey-Kochi.
Participants/ Riders will be provided motorcycles/cars, fuel, stay, food, riding gears, mechanical support, and medical support for the event period.
Showcasing Indian Heritage, Culture & Diversity.
Cultural activities and fellowship will be part of the event.
Participation Fee:
For Individual: 3000 USD + 18% TaxFor Couple: 5000 USD + 18% Tax Register and make the event a great success.
