Garden Festival
Wrist bands, maps and rosters were handed out
Carey Church issued instruction for the day and asked all volunteers to be aware of health and safety. Any incidents must be recorded.
Volunteers should take fluids, hats, suntan lotion and First aid kits if available along with umbrellas.
Some volunteers may be required to hand out tourism broachers.
It will be necessary for those on the last shift to return to Carey Church’s residence any Signs and or equipment left.
Life Skills
John Bullock announced that there are still some tickets available to the showing if Last Christmas on 20th November

Rural Support Trust Quiz Night Friday 22 November
Some members have expressed interest in forming a Rotary Cambridge team for this very worthwhile and entertaining fundraiser. I am happy to organise the registration of a team if members contact me directly. Cost is $40 pp. This can be charged directly to your club account if you give permission when you contact me. Please RSVP me to robyncrickett@gmail.com or phone 027 412 0668 by Wednesday 20th November. We have 2 people so far and can take up to 6 more for a team.
Bookarama
- Achievement House is now able to receive books for next years Bookarama. Notices will be posted on the Cambridge Facebook page and you are able to advise family and friends.
- Can you please advise your partner/spouse that we will commence sorting towards the end of the month depending on the number of books received – an email will be sent to anyone registering their interest with Ray Milner at raym65@outlook. Com
Cambridge Rotary Christmas 12 December – Party, Party, Party.
Our Christmas gathering for this year is being hosted by Ian Grant and his wife, Liz. We’ll be at Ian’s property at 151b Duncan Road Tamahere on Thursday 12th December.
There is no requirement to bring a chair this year.
However, please do remember to bring:
- a gift to the value of $10 and if you’re a man, bring a man gift, if you’re a woman, bring a woman gift
- your own crockery, glassware & cutlery
- it’s BYO drinks
You must advise your attendance by Thursday 21st November please. Names will be confirmed during the next few club evenings, but feel free to email Ian if preferred ian@aircondirect.co.nz
Cambridge Christmas Parade – Sunday 1 December, 12noon – 3.00pm
Volunteers needed for Crowd Control at the Cambridge Christmas Parade on Sunday 1 December. Please let Ken Leatham know if you can help. A sheet will be going around at club nights and also sent out via email.
