Notes from the Board meeting:
  • A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed with Achievement House for our continued use of their shed for Bookarama and additional storage as needed. Our donation for this will continue to be $5,000 pa. The MOU is evergreen but can be cancelled with one month's notice. This gives both parties some surety for the future.
  • The Board agreed to support our DG's water project in PNG with a donation of $2k towards a total cost estimate of $5k - other clubs involved are expected to be Te Awamutu and Kihikihi.
  • The International Committee is continuing discussions with the Rotary Club of Tavanui regarding our next project there. Greg is looking to involve another club from our district in this. Clare Hamilton has offered to head up a hygiene project with Days for Girls at the same time.
  • The go ahead was given for a new umbrella website for the club. This is now live and incorporates our Taste Waikato project. There is provision for all new projects to use this new site avoiding a bigger proliferation in future. Existing websites will as usual but are linked to the new site: www. rotarycambridge.nz Please note there is no  .co  in the address.
